There is a big parking area at the boat ramp that will allow more room for trailers. There are established sled trails between the other parking areas. If we get a little more snow, you will be able to sled right up to the camp area.

There are lots of choices for those of you coming by sled.As Tat has said you can park at the boat launch on Piper Pd.Number Seven has a big yard we can use and he's right next to the boat launch. You could even park at the Abbot snowmobile club house. The trail from there to the camping area is about six miles.Members of the snowmobile club are going to make a trail right to the campsite, they just need a little more snow. They even plan to drag the trail so you'll be able to park your sled right next to your tent.Rick you could even sleep with it if you want!!Hope this answer some of the questions.

Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!
Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:
El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.
Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.
On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?
On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.
Whew, I like warm weather....LOL
There will likely be enough stoves to share, but you are certainly welcome to bring a grill. There will also be a fire.
