11-2 . . . I voted for Hiram sending in a testimonial . . . maybe he will get free stuff, maybe not . . . more importantly to me whenever I am very pleased with a product (and conversely whenever I have issues with a product) I try to let a company know how I feel to give them some feedback . . . besides I think what this poor Garmin unit has gone through clearly shows that their product is resilient and a quality unit.

I think it's time to get SERIOUS!

Hiram - go ahead and send a testimonial! You've got a good story - and pictures to prove it - and geocachingmaine.org could get some publicity as well.

    GO FOR IT!

Hey I say go for it! People have gotten their fame from doing a lot worse. What do you have to lose?
And you could possibly gain a brand new GPS or maybe even stock in the company...

    Exclamation And.....

Have you done anything with the story? If it were a beer testimonial it would have been done along time ago. And they do give away free beer!

There is no question you should send it in. Nothing ventured - nothing gained. GCM has nothing to do with the story = it is all yours and stick to it.

My best that they will recognize what you have to tell is a testimony to the quality of thier product. Once recognized that is is worth a little something.
