One of the first commercially available Magellan GPS units was raffled off at the GW5 event. It was just small enough to be considered "portable". I sure wouldn't want to hike Katahdin with it! They said it took 12 hours to find satalites at boot up.

wow... that would be kinda interesting to see, was it actually battery operated or did it come with an extension cord?
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

Sorry this is off topic...just figured Rcik might get it this way. We tried to private message him but got no response.

Sorry I was not blowing you off. I am trying to get ahold of the shirt person and get some more info. There is no deadline yet. I am sure it will have to be sometime this week though. I have not been able to get ahold on my contact. I will post something as soon as I het ahold of them.

I posted a picture in the gallery of it.
Why not live life like it is your last day....instead of pretending to be a member of the Peter Pan Club and believing you will be around forever.

Where's the little door to shovel the coal into it?
Seriously, I'm surprised that it was only $1000 back then, would have thought much more. Pretty cool stuff.
