It's interesting the China School has and has had a handicapped, wheelchair accessible treehouse and yet there is a summer camp being praised by one of the Bangor local TV channels as having the "first handicapped, wheelchair accessible treehouse in the state". Sort of a shame as this one is really nice and probably was the 1st!
True the treehouse is handicapped accessible but the trip to get out there, well that probably is not though. Glad I was able to adopt and then to be able to have Maine Geocachers able to adopt the cache. It surely has been the topic of many great posts and the kids surely do enjoy it as well.
Just smile it won't crack your face
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is
suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.
Haffy - the trek to the cache would be dependant upon they type of wheelchair one had. Some of the paras and quads, I know, have chairs which would find the trail a piece of cake.
Regardless, the tree house is accessible and therefore - the one at the camp is not "the first". Any thank you for saving this cache and ensuring it was passed along for others.
LOL! There used to be a guy that lived down the road from me, traveled for MILES in his motorized chair, dragging the dog along behind. Trouble is, sometimes the dog would drag him off the road, and he'd be stuck in the soft ground until someone came along and got him back on the road.
