Default July 13th Kayaking event survey

Tom and I are sitting here discussing the kayaking event that Rik has put on the day after the Slipping Into Summer Event. Rikk has asked us if we would like to organize that event. So, we would like to do that but would like to know what everyone is wanting/needing or whatever.

    Here are some questions:

What would be a good spot for a kayak event?
One idea would be the Androscoggin River - meet at the Water Street boat launch in Brunswick and head down river towards Merrymeeting Bay and get a few caches on the way?

Would you prefer closer to Rik's neck of the woods?

What time would be best for everyone?

Any and all ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Default Androscoggin

Sounds good to me. I'm in! You name the time and we will be there.
Why not live life like it is your last day....instead of pretending to be a member of the Peter Pan Club and believing you will be around forever.

It's far enough away that I can plan either - and either sounds good

Perhaps there are two options close to Litchfield? There's both the Androscoggin, and the Kennebec down to Merrymeeting. I for one would be interested in seeding the trip ahead of time w/some new caches, and open to ideas/help.
    I'm just nuts about geocaching!!

Loved the kayak event last year (and thanks to Tink letting me use her kayak could participate). My granddaughter's birthday is the 12th but we aren't celebrating til the 13th and this will be a very big day. Sooooo, I will not be able to attend a kayak event right after Rick's event this year. No matter where you go, or what you do, I know you will have fun.

Another option that I talked to Tom about at one time was putting in at you cache at the Penobscott dam and heading town to Brunswick.

The site has been up and and down. That may have been a reason for no responces. The site will stay up now, hopefully we will get some feedback.

If we are going to do this in the brunswick area I would put in at brunswick and go to bay bridge or amybe even bath for the really adventurous.
