Red face Really sad to say...

I'm terribly embarassed ( ) to say that I had all but really abandoned caching. I kept mostly in touch with you all to say HI but that was about it. As the snow thaws.. so am I. So are the Geochicks!! We are planning and plotting and dragging out the old Geko GPS... dragged out the goodies from the last BBQ (yes, that long ago!) and started looking at everything once again... as I looked in the ammo box that my brother gave to me last year.

I found a few things in there:

    • 2 Geocoins (I think one belongs to Parm)

    • several trinkets that are signature items

    • and a TB

However, the TB has nothing with it, it's simply just the tag. I looked to see what it should have looked like on the website. Usually there is a place toy, etc attached. This is just a TAG!! Is it rude to maybe attach something to it, so it isn't simply just a tag???

Check to see if the tag PREVOUSLY had an item attached to it - go to the Geocaching.com site (Track Travel Bugs) and just input the number. You'll know if it is a stray tag of you own, or if there was an item attached at one time.

We all have or probably will have times in our geocaching lives that we need to attend to issues that are more of a priority than caching. Don't feel too bad about it, just get back out there!

That's what I meant when I said I checked it out. But it didn't say... it's was a pretty bare page for a pretty bare TB! I really don't think anything was ever attached to it.

    Default Unknown TB

You mean to say when you input the TB numbers on GC.com nothing comes up?
Just smile it won't crack your face

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is
suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

I think I've heard of TB's where there is actually nothing attached. The tag IS the TB! (Sheesh! I know - why bother? LOL!)

    Default TB Tag

It could have been put into circulation but the original owner may not have activated it before placing it in a cache. Nubees sometimes don't understand all the info to get TB's into system and how to properly log them in and out of caches. Who knows.
