Alright Cache Maine, I was just about to post this same thing.

I think you did a better job though.

I wish they'd start developing GPSr's that will hold more than 1,000 waypoints on the internal memory. I note that one of the above has only 75MB of memory, and the other has 500MB, but they each will hold only 1,000 waypoints. Why not more?

That will be quite enough, geek.

the 1k waypoint limitation is what is making me think I would rather go with a Garmin even if the pn 40 fixed all the issues with the pn 20

Overall I thought the unit was very slow at times especially if you have alot of waypoints loaded as well as the issues that I had with the seals on it and that the batteries do not charge well when plugged into the car with the optional car charger. Also I find the display is hard to read in daylight when charging cause the back light is dimmer then it is when not connected to external power. I also still think that with all the new features on the new Garmin units they just do not keep up.

I started and still use a PN-20. It's hard to see the 40 selling for $275.00 as I paid $325.00 for my unit in April of '07. I've seriously considered upgrading to a Colorado, but the price has put me off. I figure that I've found 255 caches with the 20 and it has not let me down yet. There are things that I would like to see improved, but if I was to upgrade, it would be to a unit that would allow me to go paperless and have a touch screen.

Why can't we get a government sponsered tick eradication program?
