Well you could start out super cheep. Get a bunch of caches under your belt and look at friends GPSrs and find out what you really want.
I have no enemies, but I'm intensely disliked by my friends.

We really like the 60CSX. We had a GPSMap76 which was a good unit too and we gave that to our daughter when we upgraded.
If you want to try cross country skiing, start with a small country

Get a case at Wal mart or some place. They are in electronics. I have one and it is fantastic.

Go to a Pawn shop....Get a cheap handheld there. That will give you an idea of what you really need. A little yellow Garmin will do you for a while. I use my handheld Garmin Vista Hcx in conjunction with my Nuvi 200. They make finding caches a breeze when used together.

    Default Nuvi's are OK

I still have had great luck with my Tom Tom. Another alternative.
    Happy Trails!

    Thumbs up my choice...

I still enjoy my kayakerinme navigator tag-along unit.
Why not live life like it is your last day....instead of pretending to be a member of the Peter Pan Club and believing you will be around forever.

A lot more company than a talking black box on your dash!
