Anyone know what the most current topo map is for the east? I'm thinking of getting a eTrex Vista HCx possibly and I have been looking on ebay for cheaper deals for maps and wanted to know what the newest version out may be. Thanks for any help you can give me.

There is another company which does Topo software - you may read about it here. Always good to compare.

In my opinion Delorme Topo is the best Topo software on the market. The only thing that is a bummer about it is you can only put the maps on a Delorme GPS. Even if your not using it on a GPS it is still pretty dam awesome.

I just downloaded the newest free version (as of 2/5/09) of the topos for ME, NH, MA from the Game and Fish Network site. They are pretty detailed and have quite a bit of data as far as I'm concerned and I use it for basic turn by turn and everything. All depends on what you use them for I guess but you can't beat free...
