Has there been any talk about a GeocachingMaine.org team participating in this? Seems to me a couple of individuals may have mentioned it, but I think an actual GeocachingMaine.org team would get us some publicity...

Chip was quoted in the article. They did however name GC.com as geocache.com. No one is going to do well going there.
