Default Good lobster dinner in Bangor

I have a friend that is flying into Bangor this coming weekend and he is going to hike the 100 mile wilderness on the Appalachian Trail here in Maine. He wants to have a good lobster dinner in Bangor before he heads to Baxter to start hiking southbound.

I am hoping that one of you Bangor cachers can recommend a place where he can get a good lobster dinner?

    Thumbs up Well...

The Weathervane in Brewer has always served good food in my opinion. Another place I might suggest is McLauglin's Seafood in Bangor. More like a take out place, but they do have some picnic tables.
    Happy Trails!

I was lucky enough not to get sick this year when ordering a seafood platter up that way. I Love anyplace that allows you to eat outdoors. Just make sure they don't put/leave their condiments on the tables. The ones that are best serve them in to go containers. It's also hard to predict when they last changed their fryer oil. So the baked/broiled option is a good one to have.
    I'm just nuts about geocaching!!

There is a nice family owned place on the Bradley Rd in Bradley - Claudias. Always fresh - nice little screened in Gazebo...........and a cache to boot! GC1X32X

McLaughlin's is good too! (Lower Main Street - Bangor) If they want something close to the Airport - Captain Nick's right on Union St. leaving the airport - 1165 Union Street.

I hear lobster is really cheap up there right now too.
Just smile it won't crack your face

The new Anglers over in Hampden is really good. Just as good as the one in Newport and Searsport. Good stuff.
