I got my tags today and they look great. I picked up 10 of them 1 for each of the kids and some to trade and 2 for myself.

It's important to remember - not just women are effected by breast cancer.

My sister is a breast cancer survivor, so I'm not unfamiliar with it and support your efforts. And I note that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

September was Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and I regret that the disease does not get as much attention.

    Default Cancer Awareness

I'd be very surprised if there are any members on this site that have not had a "cancer" experience, whether a loved one, friend or even a personal experience. Di and I certainly have and quite recently. The research being done is making more cancers treatable and most importantly survivable.

Maine geocachers can join the fight and help with the cure by joining in the Relay for Life which Emsdanel chairs. It's a fun event and an opportunity to get together with fellow geocachers to give back, pay it forward, support...whatever you'd like to call it. While you won't get to log a "find" for this event, you will end up with a smile when you watch all the Maine cancer surivivors take the first lap around the track.

Hope we get a great turn-out in Ellsworth this spring!

I agree Dan. The survivor round of the Relay is something that we all should see. We all have lost someone we know to cancer. It's good to see the hope as well. Emsdanel's Ellsworth location isn't the only one in the state, for those that can't make it. They hold them in Many communities.
    I'm just nuts about geocaching!!
