    Default Anyone Know Kayaks?

have a set of tires off my JK for sale, asking $650 OBO, trade for a kayak. I got an offer yesterday of an old town predator k111 with paddle. Anyone have experience with one of these, or know if it's any good? Not many reviews on it that I could find.

Assuming it comes with everything it was sold with (anchor, deck, rod holders) Im tempted. Looking at mostly cruising around lakes/ponds and slow rivers exploring and fly fishing.

    Link to the manufacturer site:

Im going to try to get to the closest dealer after work this week to see if can see one in person and find out how much they are going for.

    Post new and used

Looks like they retail for around 829.00 just for the kayak and can be bought used for between 400.00 and 700.00, some of these with accessories. I see that it can be outfitted with a small electric trolling motor.

Looks like what Ive been able to find out, although the electric motor part is interesting The next best offer is $450 cash (internet pricing, of course), which I would just turn around and buy a similar kayak used with anyways.

It depends on what you want to use it for. This is not a sea kayak but it would work on large ponds and streams.

I have a canoe w/removable outriggers and canoe mount. Just a reminder....if you put even just an electric trolling motor on a kayak/canoe...it has to be registered for that season. I did notice someone in Maine has invented a larger paddle w/built in motor. I think you could get away w/out registration in using that setup as it's not mounted.
    I'm just nuts about geocaching!!
