"Cove Cache" in Northport (Saturday Cove). We bring the kids there at dead low tide to collect the "digger" clam shells. The girls have collected buckets of intact 4 and 5 inch bleached white, intact clam shells for painting and school projects. Plue there is a cache there.

I know you said you wanted Maine beaches....BUT....I know of many great beaches if you ever get to Hilton Head, S.C.. I know of some where you can collect sharks teeth there too ! Ever want to know just ask.

Took the ferry over to Long Island with Beachcomber one day and that island has to have the most beach glass I have ever seen.Plus the caches there were great as well.
