I like the wide view where you can see all the caches in large areas (world). They use map overlay with pre-generated tiles to accomplish that. (it's not real time map) I was working on the same project, but I abandoned it for lack of free time and for not having a complete database.

I have no enemies, but I'm intensely disliked by my friends.
Years ago gc.com had a map similar to this, but it was such a bandwidth hog they had to remove it. It's good that technology and their processing abilities have improved so that this is available. I probably will not use it a lot since I work more with GSAK generated maps, but this is great for trip planning. This is a lot faster than the old ones and with the new features they are planing to add to it (filtering, PQ integration) it may become a great tool.
