    Question Multi Cache ?

How far apart do the stages of a multi have to be?

There is basically no limit between the stages of the same cache, only the distance from those stages to another cache (which is .1 mile). So you could theoretically have stages of a multi 100 feet or even 50 feet apart.

From the gc.com Saturation section of the guidelines:
Additionally, within a single multi-cache or mystery/puzzle cache, there is no minimum required distance between physical elements.

Don't place the stages 5 feet apart?

Lee and I both love multis. Historical multis are great when the stages connect parts of the story together. If it's a multi in the woods, it's great when the stages take you to interesting stops along the way, scenic view, beaver dam, large tree. Just make it fun, something you would want to do.
