    It would be interesting to find out where this new carrier lies in the spectrum. Verizon Wireless is establishing their 4G network at 700Mhz that used to be for designated for analog television. Sprint's 4G Wi-Max runs at 2.5Ghz-2.7Ghz. Just doing a google search, standard handheld and automotive GSP units run around 1500Mhz. I guess maybe the big cell phone carriers have purchased the largest available frequencies so all they have left is buying what they can get and boosting the hell out of it with antenna's everywhere...

    I heard about this also but I heard the gov will not let it happen if it interferes with GPS signals.
