    Default Cape Bretton, Cabot Trail

Has anyone cached in Cape Bretton and the Cabot Trail area? If so, how are the roads there, paved or non paved, any caches that should not be missed, and any advice on lodging along the way?

The Atlantic Canada Geocaching Assosiation members might be able to assist you?

We were there several years ago, and yes, the roads are paved. Lodging is plentiful, but it's a popular tourist area so it might be crowded. Don't remember any caches as being particularly good, but again, it was a while ago. One of the most impressive locations on Cape Breton is the fortress at Louisbourg - well worth the time spent away from geocaching! LOL!

You might also want to consider Prince Edward Island, which is beautiful.

We plan on being in Nova Scotia next month for the Antigonish Highland Games - not too far from Cape Breton.

As Bruce mentioned . . . paved roads. When I was there several years back it was in my pre-caching days . . . however it is well worth going to even for the non-cacher. As also mentioned, the Louisbourg Fortress is one of those "don't miss" attractions and well worth spending several hours.

There's a caching challenge in the National Park. I have my eye on it for something to do this summer.
