We wont' be doing Rattlesnake Mountain as our 100th unless we wait for a while. Looks like it is missing but the owner knows.

It seems as though someone has stolen this cache. I will replace it in the next couple of weeks and update the information. I'm sorry for any inconvience."

I'm disappointed to see that cache is missing too. That's one that I had also thought about doing for #100 this weekend.

I did 16 on my last day of caching before leaving Maine. The first 8 were with a group and I think, with the exception of 2, we all found them individually. The other 8 were in interesting locations not far from major roads. In Maine I figured if I could get 5 in a day and had some interesting hikes that I was doing good. Down here in Maryland it's a easier to get the numbers (I hit 200 Saturday) as most parks have at least one cache but I sure miss Maine scenery. There are some VERY creative multis down here and 1 Project APE cache. If anyone is south of Baltimore, try "Dark." If y'all are coming to MD and want some recommendations, feel free to drop me a line.

As much as we all think "it's all about the numbers", most of the fun is in the hunt and the places caching takes you to visit. We have done 9-10 in a day and have enjoyed doing 3-4 a day just as well. I think when you get a few under your belt you get a little more relaxed.
Well I gotta go to bed, gotta be up and out by 05:00 to beat Haffy on a FTF in Pittsfield.
    See how relaxed I am.

Talking Geocaching for numbers in Maine

Next time you go to Florida, stop by Rocky Mount NC, it is on I-95, we have over a 100 caches in our city which is about the same size as Bangor. A lot of micros with some that border on devilsh and evil or as you say in Maine "wicked evil." Will be glad to be your escort for a day of caching.

I think 17 in one day is our best for number but the most memorable days were the ones we only got one cache...Deathwish 1, Gorge-ous (sp), Half-mile (hockey pucks), Etna Bog with friends, Black Mtn. (don't remember the cache name), Mountain View and of course, Hole in the Wall with friends on a multi-cache day, to name a few. Yuh, quality makes it worthwhile.

    Smile Monday

Memorial Day KK and I went to Branch Pond and kayaked to the cache. One cache was logged by both of us that day. And what a wonderful day of caching it was. Quality not quantity. Caching in Maine!!
Why not live life like it is your last day....instead of pretending to be a member of the Peter Pan Club and believing you will be around forever.

I think we did 13 in one day but they were not all hard by any means with Dalmations finds in there they add up quick.

I just love the experience. The Pleasant Surprise 2 was so awesome for me that I really didn't care about the cache when I got to the top..... but I did log it. lol
