Default GSAK 101 finding double logged caches

I am in the process of logging finds I have had in a database going back about two years. I noticed along the way that I had logged a cache twice somewhere. I knew it was possible to easily find it in GSAK but could not figure out how to do it. So I asked the expert, BrDad.

    ************************************************** ****************************************

I have a question. Apparently I have logged a cache twice. How do I find out which one?

    Easiest way is in GSAK.

Update a database of your finds with the "Myfinds" PQ.

    Set a filter in GSAK:
Search - Filter - click the "Logs" tab.
Set Required Count to "Greater than or equal to" - 2
Deselect Select All for Log Types
Select Found It under Log Types.
    Click Go
Any caches listed have 2 or more found logs.

This is a picture of what the filter dialog should be set to:

    Thumbs up

Another easy way to find duplicate logs is to use the "Find Bad Logs" tool on http://project-gc.com/
    http://project-gc.com/Profile/FindBadLogs
You don't need to download, install, or run any PQs.
You sign up to the site using your gc.com login (The site uses the official Geocaching Live API)
    Go to "Find Bad Logs"
Input a "Profile Name" (this can be your own name or anyone else's name)
Press the Filter button and receive your results.

    For example http://project-gc.com/Profile/findba...tbutton=Filter
    You double logged GC1MBGZ
You own quite a few caches where other people have double logged them.

    Some more examples

Hollora has double logged 3 different caches http://project-gc.com/Profile/findba...tbutton=Filter

Tat has double logged 9 different caches http://project-gc.com/Profile/findba...tbutton=Filter

Interesting. Seems like a lot of trouble. I already had the my finds database, as everyone should, so it was just figuring out the right buttons to push.

Tom, maybe you should start with weeding out the ones you've found but haven't logged.... Now that's a project! :P

Is there an app for that?

I think in your case, you could just randomly start logging caches and have a %70 of having found it already...

I could probably write a macro filter that'd be more accurate, but this was quick...

I did a check with GSAK, I have 148 caches where someone mentions Tat in their log but Tat has not logged a find. Due to GSAK filter limitations, this excludes caches Tat ever logged a DNF on. It also includes events which I am not sure he logs or not. Obviously anyone could mention Tat in any log, but some of these it definitely appears he was there but didn't log.

Here's the top ten on that list by D/T.

Maine's Adventure Challenge (GC1VWN8) by Northwoods Explorer (5/5)
The Fifty States Wyoming (GC1RFJ0) by SHUMAN ROAD SEARCHERS (5/3)
Maine Natural and Unique Delorme College AS Degree (GC13H9D) by Rescue_Rangers (5/5)
HASTA LA VISTA TO THE EAST (GC2E2F2) by DudeKeith (4/4)
Out in left field (GC1W7F5) by NH Tracker Family (4/2.5)
Just For Fits And Giggles! (GC1AZH8) by Mapachi (4/1.5)
Old City Hall View (GC1AH38) by Mapachi (3.5/1)
Don't Take Me For Granite. Mes. Trail Series #1 (GC17PRW) by Shroomr (3.5/4)
Centum Challenge (GC27Q59) by Ekidokai (3/1.5)
Holy Cache III (GC24QWG) by Luc Caron (3/1)
    DNFTT! DNFTT! DNFTT!

Out in left field > Been there!!

But the method does not yield reliable results:

I can't log Maine's Adventure Challenge because (as noted above) I had already found Fire Away
I haven't signed the log for the Centum Challenge.
Maine Natural and Unique Delorme College AS Degree is my cache!
