Are you asking about the waypoints, routes, etc. stored in Mapsource or the actual maps themselves?

Not sure if this will work but it is one of many conversion tools.

Try GPS Utility... does a ton of different conversions, including tracks!

It shouldn't be too hard to make a converter for it. Just have it pick a random coordinate for each track point that is 75-100 feet off from the correct (Garmin) track points.

Wow, that is a great program for modifying tracks. But I can afford $55 for the full version. The demo only allows 500 track points. Bummer.

After playing with the freeware version of this program for about a week or so I decided to purchase it. This is an awesome program for editing tracks. It takes some getting use to but it is what I was looking for. For those that are only using their gps for geocaching then they will never need to use tracks or edit tracks. I use my gps a lot with the tracking feature when I am snowmobiling. Sometime when you start doing circles or driving back and forth on a section of the trail you get unneeded tracks. This program will clean up the unneeded tracks for you.

Glad you found it useful! I think my GPS has something built in that converts tracks to routes, but I've never had a use for it. I used GPSU to save waypoints as AutoCAD .dxf files, so I could import them into a CAD program and do geometric constructions. I had intended to place a cache exactly at the midpoint of a line between two nearby mountain peaks, turned out to be about 10 feet off the side of my driveway! So I scrapped that idea. Maybe for a future cache placement I'll try something like midpoint of an arc.

I have been using my tracks on my gps to keep track of my snowmobile trips. I have been posting them online for others to download and use also. Here is what I have been doing.
