    Talking New Geocoin - Acadia

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I'll post it here anyway in hopes that many will see it.

This coin is being announced now or shortly in the GC forums but I thought I'd give you a heads up.

A National Parks series of geocoins has been in the works since December. Recently I contacted SouthBayDay about featuring Acadia on a geocoin as part of that series. The coin is now ready to be announced: http://www.hogwildstuff.org/hogwild_...s/page0006.htm

    Here's the artwork:

The coin is now on sale and they tend to go quickly. The ordering page is at http://www.hogwildstuff.org/index.ph...1680eafb7325d5
Note the restrictions on LE vs. regular and be sure to order correctly!

    Thanks,

I was able to order these this morning. Came away with two limited edition and two regular ones, and a few pins. Not sure how long they will last. Thanks Barry for suggesting Acadia to Steve. It's a great coin!

That's a sharp looking coin design. I particularly like the incorporation of Acadia's famous stone arch bridges and the working fishing boat.

Very fitting since caches aren't allowed in national parks!

I thought the same thing when I read about this. It is just a way for them to make a buck.

well maybe if you would hide the cache on a skidder so it could get past the front gate...
