Hiram I most apologize for offending your sensitive nature.As Tat has said we'll have a fire going at all times.I'll have a cooking grill we can use on the fire.I'll also have a couple of propane stoves available as I'm sure others will too.We won't let you starve. As a young person I remember reading books like North West Passage and the stories of them drinking hot buttered rum at the end of each day.I envisioned these to be a drink like maybe maple syrup with a little butter floating on top.When I finally got to try one on a ice fishing trip to Ragged Lake one winter I soon discovered they weren't what I thought.More like gasoline with little butter mix in.
oh! the horror! i LOVED reading kenneth roberts books and i, too, always tried to imagine what the hot buttered rum tasted like. i thought it would be so awesome. guess i'll just take your word for it now. actually, i have most of the books - i think i'll go read one...or two.
