I do have a few plans and quite a few caches to place. I've been wandering around picking out locations that I think will please most people, (and as George Carlin used to say, Piss the rest off) I'm hoping to put out 4 to 6 of them. Most will probably be a little bit north, the Clinton, Benton, Burnham area. Most of that is wide open!

Why can't we get a government sponsered tick eradication program?
However, pleasure for the numbers often trumps pleasure for the cache or it's location.

We did a few caches on our way to the event on Sunday, finding 5 out of 8, including the event. We got our hike in by trekking the snowmobile trail from "Hawaii" to Mapachi's "Limbo". The hike was especially nice since there was so much less wind than the few days before. We also enjoyed the event - it was nice to meet so many new people, and the food was great! This was our first time caching in the Windsor area - we'll have to make a return trip sometime (David won't want to leave our DNFs unfound!)
Monday we hiked near our caches on Sears Island, and saw an ermine scurrying along a stone wall near "Gnarly Green". On the return trip we checked out the footprints, which I don't recall ever noticing before. Yesterday I was hiking in the same area, and not 40 feet away I saw a pileated woodpecker. Usually they're pretty skittish, but this one ignored me, and I was able to watch it for quite awhile.
Last couple of years the woodpeckers have been tearing up the trees.
I have no enemies, but I'm intensely disliked by my friends.
