    Default Snow is here

I was in the most hated chain store in the world. (Wal Mart) And saw that they had a selection of snowshoes. Small to 300 pounds. They start at $50 and the big ones are $99. They are not the best, but a good start if you want to try finding caches in the snow for the first time. Only one model had the plastic straps I think. All the others had good straps.

I might try the biggest ones they had to see if it makes any difference. I bought some cheep 250 pounders and they worked OK but it was my first time on snowshoes last winter and I had a hard time. Maybe the bigger ones will work better.

Not trying to make a sale. I don't work for that outfit any longer but that might be a good way for new comers to start out cheep.

Does Tiger Woods like to snowshoe? What size would he take?

He doesn't snowshoe but he does a lot of "pussy footing". (Before you say anything, it means "To sneak around")!

My snowshoe costs a bit more than $99, but it supports a lot more weight and moves a lot faster with a 600 cc engine.

Holy crap! I have seen a lot of crazy people, with crazy gadgets, doing crazy things, but snowshoes with a 600 cc engine is a bit much.

No snow here... :P And if we get a dusting I get to laugh at the locals who panic and shut everything down. Now that is free entertainment.

Be careful-- snowshoeing can be just as addictive as caching. A 600 cc snowshoe would be fun.yeeeee-haaaa

    Default High powered snowshoes

Mine are both 700 cc triples, a special type of snowshoe with a git-kit attachment!
