Default For all the Magellan owners

Just smile it won't crack your face

suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

OK, so now tell me, how hard is this to work. What does it take to get this to work for us?

    Default Magellan

Well, I've got to say that while I'm not as impressed with my Magellan compared to wife's Garmin, at least I think it works for geocaching. It's just so doggone slow locking on to satellites.

Question for Magellan owners-how do you like your background map..I like the super quads, but there expensive, and can only zoom out 3/4 miles.Mine tracks really well, but that's probably because I'm hiking, not riding. Ya!I'm looking at Garmin

#7 . . . I use MapSend Direct Route and Topo . . . good maps. The background maps that came with the Magellans were pretty much useless in my opinion.

#7 . . . I prefer Direct Route for navigating and geocaching as it will give you turn by turn directions . . . although sometimes it acts a bit funky and brings you to an area in a very roundabout way.

I use the Topo map when sledding and ATVing . . . it has more of the topographical features (ponds, small lakes, streams, etc.) that may be missing in the Direct Route.
