Description: A geocache . . . or what was left of it. Hiram found the cover to this cache next to a woodchuck hole. The woodchuck looked like he had gnawed on the container for weeks . . . we only found one small piece of the rest of the container.

Description: At 2 p.m. a wild troupe of vervet (green) monkeys comes into the Barbados Wildlife Refuge for their daily free feeding . . . on this day one rambunctious monkey ended up taking an entire bunch of green bananas.

Description: While visiting Barbados my wife made friends with this friendly vervet monkey in a cage . . . he would make smacking sounds with his jaws and rub his belly before putting out his hand . . . I presume he wanted a treat.

Description: This picture doesn't do the place justice . . . twin waterfalls cascading together . . . one warm water, one cool water. One of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies was shot on location at a point somewhere above the waterfalls. On the walk up to the twin waterfalls our guide explained to us about the various flora we were seeing and I saw a couple of the landcrabs which I am told are pretty good to eat along with some warm coconut milk.

Description: It's easy to see why families like to go on outings here . . . it's wide open and very windy. Easter Sunday proved to be especially busy with many families packing a picnic, flying kites and just enjoying the warm, sunny day. It was here while attempting to cross the grounds that I was "attacked" by an errant kite.

Description: This was a pretty neat fort . . . one of the best views in the entire place believe it or not is the view from the men's and women's restrooms . . . at least the view from the men's restroom was picturesque . . . I'm just assuming the view from the adjoining women's restroom was as nice.

Description: The streets of Old San Juan reminded my wife of the streets from Germany . . . very narrow, buildings were nestled right next to each other and most of the streets were made from the blue-colored brick ballast from the Spanish ships.
