We were just out for a Saturday drive along dirt roads in the woods when we nearly ran into this owl as it buzzed our windshield at 3:45 pm. It landed in a tree right next to the road. I never thought he'd be there after I dug out my camera. He stayed put scanning the nearby bog for a snack for nearly 10 minutes.

I've never seen one so early in the afternoon. This is one of those moments you remember forever!
