One of my very favorite campsites of all times is Frost Pond Camps. It is near Mt. Katahdin, but is a private campground. They have a website you can check out: frostpondcamps.com (Sorry I don't know how to do a hyperlink ) There are a number of really neat geocaches nearby. They have cabins as well as tent sites. We never stayed at the cabins, but the tent sites are really nice, and they have showers at the main building.
