Veterans Day

Thank you to each Veteran on GCM who served in the military. You deserve a hug, a pat on the back and really a lot more than that.

My hubby was Marine Reserves in HS and went Air Force when he graduated and it was time to up with his buddies. He was in Germany during the end of Korea and is therefore on the role of a KW veteran (although he never saw the worst of anything).

He was a guest of my daughter and granddaughter to go to the parade today and sat proudly street side wearing his "I Served" ball cap and holding his KW Cole Museum Walking Stick! His Granddaughter was some dag proud - as folks kept coming up to her Grampie and shaking his hand. She was a proud gal to be clappng for the veterans who were marching.

Although I was caching - my caching partner and I did take a moment to comment on the Veterans in serveral cemeteries we visited. We certainly knew and also respected the fact without the efforts of our Veterans, our country would not be free and not what it is today. Thank you one and all!
