I am going to try to explain the proper way to use the NEW POSTS feature.

The new posts feature is designed for users to be able to pick up in the forums on the web site where they left off from the exact reading location in the message from where they last were reading.

Once you have clicked on the NEW POSTS a listing of all the threads that have had new posts from users in them since you were last logged onto the web site will show up. I have included a sample of what it will look like below.

If you notice to the left of the thread title there is an image of a small green arrow box with the arrow pointing down. I have circled it in red. If you click on this image it will take you to the newest message in that thread that you have not read. Hence taking you to where you left off.
