Well, I like Haffy's definition, I just found that on line. they have some good information in that Carleton County Colloquialisms, and as the introduction says about the words in the book.
"If you're from anywhere west of Quebec, you don't care. If you're from anywhere south and west of Massachusetts, you don't know, and you don't care."
I have been saying jag for as long I can remember.
Less than a cord more than you want to lug. O an we pronounce it "cod of wood".
As for trouble, it was none. Trouble when you are cutting trees is when the tree doesn't hit the ground. It could hit the truck, or the barn, house, neighbors house. etc
